Histology - Certificate

The overall objective of the Histotechnician Certificate program is to help you become a competent histotechnician, qualified by academic and applied science education to provide service and research in histotechnology and related areas. Upon completion, you will be able to pursue positions in hospital laboratories, industrial and medical laboratories, health clinics and research laboratories.

Completion of this program indicates a foundation in the most common—and most essential—business procedures, particularly those required for office assistants, receptionists and insurance and records clerks. You’ll learn about medical terminology, anatomy, physiology and communication skills. This program also includes basic laboratory testing techniques and encourages proficiency in emergency care and patient health.
