Medical Administrative Assistant - Diploma

The medical administrative assistant program provides you with the skills necessary to manage the day-to-day operations of a medical facility. Office management and technical ability are vital parts of the professional office environment.

The administrative, business and communication courses will provide you with a well-rounded background to meet the needs of today's ever-changing medical industry. You will gain valuable skills, enabling you to become a vital link between patient and doctor.

Medical Assisting - Diploma

The medical assisting modular program is designed to train students to function effectively and safely as integral members of the medical health care team. The program is a comprehensive course of study that combines basic knowledge with applied skills mastered in the classroom and laboratory.

Students will be trained to perform clinical tasks including EKG's, vital signs, injections, venipuncture and X-rays. The program is designed into three modular formats, thus allowing students to begin education in any particular module. Students entering the Medical Assisting program are expected to take the national certification exam to become a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA). Students become certified only after passing the certification exam. Students in the Medical Assisting program will have the opportunity to become certified in Community CPR.

Massage Therapy - Diploma

This program provides you with the foundation, skills, knowledge, and education needed to start a practice or seek employment as a massage therapist. We want to train people to excel as health care professionals in the expanding market of massage and bodywork. This program includes an entry-level curriculum in the area of soft tissue dysfunction and massage therapy. A balance of academic knowledge, technical expertise, clinical skills and manual dexterity can provide you with a competitive advantage in this ever-changing field.

The massage therapist program provides you with a solid base of knowledge through instruction and hands-on learning. You will learn how to properly assess and document massage sessions, as well as communicate effectively with insurance professionals through medical terminology, pharmacology, and documentation classes. Additional courses include medical law and ethics, adjunctive therapy, and business management, providing a well-rounded educational experience.

Medical Insurance Billing and Coding - Diploma

Medical billing and its related occupations are among the fastest growing opportunities in the health care industry. Give yourself an advantage as more and more insurance companies, medical offices and clinics look to hire well-schooled and experienced professionals.

You will learn the basic concepts and procedures to perform the tasks involved in health insurance as well as insurance claim forms. You will also gain knowledge of basic coding definitions and how to apply those codes to medical documentation.

Patient Care Technician - Diploma

Graduates of the Patient Care Technician program can expect to find employment opportunities in hospitals, rehabilitation centers and placement agencies. Graduates will be certified in Community CPR and First Aid. Students will also be eligible to take certification exams to become certified as nursing assistants, EKG technicians and phlebotomy technicians.

Pharmacy Technician - Diploma

By completing the pharmacy technician program, you can join the ranks of thousands of others and start aiding licensed pharmacists by providing medication and other health care products to patients.
