Charter College

Charter College is a private, independent institution of higher education that follows a dramatically new direction. Charter is neither a liberal arts college, a university, nor a vocational school. Dental Assistant - Certificate

Typical job titles for the Dental Assistant graduate entering the field include:

  • Chairside Dental Assistant
  • Dental X-Ray Technician
  • Dental Office Manager

The Dental Assistant program has been designed to prepare students for entry-level employment in a variety of dental settings. The content of the program provides the student with:

  • Didactic, laboratory and clinical instruction in chairside assisting procedures
  • Infection control
  • Treatment procedures commonly performed in a dental office setting
  • Basic training in front office procedures

Emphasis is placed on the guidelines required by the California Dental Board of Examiners for a Registered Dental Assistant Program. Upon successful completion of the program, the Charter graduate will be provided with a Certificate for Coronal Polishing and Dental X-Ray.
