The variety of tasks you will learn will allow you to be challenged by diverse responsibilities in the delivery of dental care. You will gain knowledge of the basic dental sciences, proficiency in laboratory and clinical skills, and practical experience involving specialized skills. You will be trained in valuable clinical, radiographic, and administrative procedures, leading to career opportunities with dental offices, dental-supply manufacturers, hospital dental departments and insurance companies. Additional entry-level positions include dental receptionists, dental insurance clerks, dental-supply salespeople and administrative assistants. Our training program is divided into learning units called modules. Upon successful completion of the modules, you are required to participate in a 160-hour externship. This program provides you with the opportunity to interact with patients and apply the principles and practices learned in the classroom. You will obtain hands-on experience in a laboratory setting using major equipment such as amalgamators, dental units and chairs, model trimmers, oral evacuation equipment, oxygen tanks, personal computers, ultrasonic units and X-ray units. Successful completion of the Dental Assisting program is acknowledged with a diploma, a Radiation Safety Certificate and verification of coronal polish completion. Medical Assisting - DiplomaBack to topMedical Assistants are trained in both administrative and clinical procedures, and are capable of filling a variety of rewarding positions. Our training program is divided into learning units called modules. You must complete the modules in their entirety, in any sequence, to successfully complete this curriculum. Upon successful completion of the modules, you are required to participate in a 160-hour externship. This program provides you with the opportunity to interact with patients and apply the principles and practices learned in the classroom. You will be prepared to maintain the highest quality of patient care; take vital signs and run laboratory and diagnostic tests, all while utilizing your organization, communication and management skills. Gain employment in a hospital, clinic, doctor's office, nursing home, medical-supply business, home health care agency, insurance company or pharmaceutical company. Medical Billing - DiplomaBack to topThe program encompasses several all-inclusive courses to prepare students for employment as medical insurance billers. The curriculum includes instruction on the following: you will be introduced to the general responsibilities of the insurance specialist, learn all aspects of private insurance plans, and you will obtain instruction on electronic billing. You will gain knowledge of the basic concepts and procedures to perform the tasks involved in health insurance as well as insurance claim forms. Pharmacy Technician - DiplomaBack to topYou will develop strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills needed to interact with patients, co-workers and health care professionals. You will gain strong mathematical, organizational and technical skills needed to count and measure medication, manage inventories, and complete pharmaceutical dosage forms. It is essential that you can recognize, spell, define, and use appropriate medical terminology, words and abbreviations.
Pharmacy technicians can gain positions in both health care
facilities and retail establishments including: hospitals,
medical centers, outpatient clinics, urgent care centers and
pharmacies.
