Educational Promise

It is our belief that the old proverb "give a man fish he eats for a day, teach him to fish he eats for a lifetime" has much significance, and its absence in today's principles has left us with a poorly trained society. Therefore it is important that the community, our students, and staff understand that we are not only in the education business, but the better life business.

Associate's in Office Administration - Health Care Management

This is a program focused on learning the foundation of skills that pertain to working in a variety of jobs in the health care industry. Students learn the basics of working in the administrative aspects of health care. The person taking this specialty area will become familiar with general business practices, computers and the most current Microsoft Office software. An intro to Human Resources, Math, Management and Finance will follow. All students will be exposed to Customer Relations and Technical Writing (both written and oral).

In the specialty portion of their curriculum, students will study Medical Terminology, Transcription, Medical Coding, Insurance and Billing, and Medical Computer Applications.

Graduates will obtain an Associate degree in Occupational Studies and will be prepared to start their career working in physician offices, hospitals, insurance companies and other related health care facilities.
