Health Care Management - Bachelor's Degree Program

Our bachelor's degree program in health care management prepares students for leadership positions within public, private and government health care industries. Coursework includes studies in public health, health politics and policy, management of health information systems, hospital administration, governance and US health systems.

Graduates of this program can look forward to positions as facility administrators, home health care managers, human resource managers, directors of residential programs, patient care services representatives, hospital billing coordinators and other entry-level management positions.

Do you look forward to a career helping others relieve stress and recover from injury? Do you believe in the healing power of touch? Minnesota School of Business-Lakeville offers two college programs that provide hands-on training in massage therapy. These programs give students the technical skills they need to become licensed massage therapists.

With the training they receive, our graduates find positions in health clubs, hospitals, massage clinics, salons, spas, rehabilitation clinics and nursing homes. Some even go on to open their own private massage practices.

Minnesota School of Business-Lakeville strives to provide students with the skills, knowledge and ability to become integral team members in health care environments. They learn to receive and schedule patients, monitor medical records, transcribe medical documents, prepare bookkeeping records, maintain hardware and software and perform general secretarial tasks in medical office settings.

Upon graduation, our graduates may find positions as patient relations representatives, benefits coordinators, hospital admissions representatives, medical billers, receptionists and medical administrative assistants.

Medical assistants perform a variety of tasks in clinical environments. They are often responsible for clerical duties such as telephone management, reception and billing. They may also be responsible for clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, educating patients and assisting with minor surgical procedures. At Minnesota School of Business-Lakeville, students get hands-on instruction in and out of the classroom, preparing them for real world challenges in health care environments.

Graduates of this program may become laboratory assistants, clinical assistants, phlebotomists, limited scope radiology technicians, clinical supervisors and medical assistants.

Veterinary Technology - Associate Degree Program

Do you look forward to a career caring for animals throughout the life cycle? Our veterinary technology program can give you a solid foundation in scientific principles and hands-on practice in technical skills. You will start working with live animals in the classroom from early in the program. Toward the end of the program, you will reinforce your training by completing an externship in a veterinary clinic, animal hospital or a similar animal care environment.

As a graduate of our veterinary technology program, you will be prepared for a position in a zoo, boarding or breeding kennel, pet store, private veterinary practice or animal research lab.
