Associate's in Medical Assistant

If you've always wanted to work in a doctor's office or in a medical setting, consider a career as a Medical Assistant. Jones College Medical Assistant education includes an Associate in Science Degree Program with a Medical Assistant Major. After completing the program, you're prepared for entry-level employment as a:

  • Medical assistant
  • Medical office assistant
  • Medical receptionist

Your coursework includes a foundation of medical courses supplemented with business and general education courses that provide you the skills for promotion into a managerial role. You're also prepared to the take the certification exam administered by the American Association of Medical Assistants.

Bachelor's in Allied Health Management

The Bachelor of Science Degree Program with an Allied Health Management Major is designed to combine technical and medical office training with business coursework; these things will enable the allied health practitioner to function as a medical assistant with the ability to move into an entry-level managerial position in a medical office or other health care facility. Technical, office, and business training are supplemented with required general education and elective coursework, which permit the student to effectuate an educational program, which is consistent with the student's educational objectives.
