AmeriTech College was founded in 1979, two blocks west of Brigham
Young University in Provo, Utah. In 2005, a new non-main campus
was opened to serve the Salt Lake City area.
AmeriTech College focuses on providing technical training to
students who want to move rapidly into the work force, and
creating career opportunities for people in the medical
professions. AmeriTech has a unique educational model that
delivers a hands-on approach to learning with an emphasis in
bringing the "real world" of medical professions into the
classroom in order to provide the best possible training for our
students.
AmeriTech College offers a 38-week Dental Assistant program at
our Provo campus. This program provides students with the
knowledge and skills necessary to assist a dentist or hygienist.
Students learn patient preparation, chair-side assisting, front
office skills, radiology techniques, laboratory procedures,
dental materials preparation as well as sterilizing and
disinfecting instruments and equipment, preparation of tray
setups and various dental procedures. Graduates are qualified to
sit for the Certified Dental Assistant and/or Registered Dental
Assistant exams.

AmeriTech College offers a 34-week program at our Provo campus.
This course will provide students with comprehensive training in
performing entry-level skills in medical offices and clinics. The
curriculum includes training in a wide variety of
competency-based skills for both clinical and administrative
areas necessary for assisting the physician in his/her practice.
Medical Dental Office Management - Diploma

Medical Dental Office Management is a 34-week program offered at
the Provo Campus. Students acquire the skills necessary to
perform the duties and functions of a specialty administrative
assistant for physicians or dentists. Skills taught in the
program include communications, public relations, business math,
English, medical and dental insurance billing and coding, as well
as ethics and law, records, transcription, pharmacology and
terminology. Graduates may sit for the CPC or CPC-H credentialing
exams.
Surgical Technologist - Diploma

Surgical Technologist is a 45-week program offered at the Provo
Campus. This program enables students to assist in surgical
operations and procedures under the supervision of surgeons,
registered nurses, or other surgical personnel. Skills taught
include preparation of the operating room, assisting the surgical
team sterile gowning and gloving, observing vital signs, checking
charts, preparing, transporting, and helping position patients.
Graduates are qualified to sit for the Certified Surgical
Technician credentialing exam.
