Online Master's in Health Administration

Our online Master's in Health Administration is designed for healthcare professionals who want to advance their career in the management and administrative aspects of health organization and the health system.

Students will gain knowledge and expertise through diverse course offerings that provide technical and behavioral competencies to encompass business, ethics and technology applied to the health administration environment. After completion, you will be positioned for leadership in a variety of private and government health organizations, agencies and hospitals. Students can choose from two unique specializations: Health Care Ethics and Informatics.

Ethics Specialization

Saint Joseph's online master's degree in health administration with a specialization in health care ethics provides the necessary framework for dealing with issues such as euthanasia; the use of medical technologies to prolong life; abortion; genetic screening for birth defects; experimentation and informed consent; distribution of scarce medical resources; the right to healthcare and its implications for the healthcare delivery system. The program also offers a background in moral philosophy, which will be included within the scope of the coursework.

Informatics Specialization

With a specialization in informatics, you will gain expertise in information resources management, clinical care and programming, enabling you to become the communications conduit linking diverse health care professionals. Additional coursework focuses on health information management systems data and infrastructure, providing the case study of IT networks, internets, data interchange, data access, and data management.
