AOS - Medical SpecialtiesBack to topMedical specialists are responsible for duties such as sterilizing equipment, preparing a patient for examination, assisting the doctor during an examination, performing tests and much more. Medical specialists are in great demand in all geographic areas, in doctors' offices, hospitals, laboratories and health centers. You will have many opportunities as a medical assistant, pharmacy technician, lab assistant, EKG technician or phlebotomist.
