The San Francisco campus began offering classes in 1970. The
spacious school occupies two floors of an office building
containing classrooms furnished with laboratory and office
equipment, faculty and administrative offices, a library
containing reference and reading materials related to the
academic programs and a student lounge. The school is centrally
located in downtown San Francisco and is near both bus routes and
BART.
Medical Assisting Diploma

The objective of the Medical Assisting program is to provide
graduates with the skills and knowledge that will enable them to
qualify for entry-level positions as medical assistants. Since
medical assistants are trained in both administrative and
clinical procedures, they are capable of filling a variety of
entry-level positions including clinical or administrative
assistant, medical receptionist and medical insurance biller.
Upon successful completion of the modules, students participate
in a 160-clock-hour externship. Students have the option to take
the eight-month day program or the ten-month evening program.
Dental Assisting Diploma

The objective of the Dental Assisting program is to provide
graduates with the skills and knowledge that will enable them to
qualify for entry-level positions as dental assistants. While it
is not a prerequisite to employment as a dental assistant, the
importance of becoming a Registered Dental Assistant is
emphasized, and students become familiar with the types of
practical and written exams they will encounter when they qualify
to take the RDA exam. Upon successful completion of the Dental
Assisting program, students receive a diploma, a Radiation Safety
Certificate and verification of coronal polish completion.
Massage Therapy Diploma

The Massage Therapy program provides the basic knowledge, tools,
ethics, and behaviors that will enable you to successfully
practice as a massage therapist in a variety of healthcare
settings. You will gain in-depth educational skills that increase
your knowledge and develop specialized techniques of massage.
A balance of academic knowledge, technical expertise, clinical
skills and manual dexterity can provide you with a competitive
advantage in this ever-changing field. You will acquire a solid
base of knowledge through instruction and hands-on learning in
our well-rounded curriculum.
The Massage Therapist program is taught over a three-quarter
period, with each quarter encompassing different courses of
study. You will have the practical experience to obtain
employment as a massage therapist in a number of healthcare
settings, including medical and rehabilitation clinics,
hospitals, and doctors' and chiropractors' offices. Opportunities
also exist in health spas, hotels, fitness centers, sports
organizations, tourist destinations, and cruise ships. There is
the possibility of going into private practice as well.
Pharmacy Technician Diploma

The Pharmacy Technician program prepares the student with both
administrative and clinical skills for a position in retail,
hospital, clinic and home IV facilities. The program provides the
student with the theory and hands-on applications required to
demonstrate an understanding of the basic principles and
practices of pharmacy technology; recognize, spell, define, and
use appropriate medical terminology, words, and abbreviations;
use appropriate pharmacy skills; discuss and demonstrate how to
work with pharmaceutical dosage forms; and show competency in
performing pharmaceutical calculations.
