Medical Assistants are trained in both administrative and clinical procedures, and are capable of filling a variety of rewarding positions. Our education program is divided into learning units called modules. You must complete the modules in their entirety, in any sequence, to successfully complete this curriculum. Upon successful completion of the modules, you are required to participate in a 160-hour externship. This program provides you with the opportunity to interact with patients and apply the principles and practices learned in the classroom.
You will be prepared to maintain the highest quality of patient
care; take vital signs and run laboratory and diagnostic tests,
all while utilizing your organization, communication and
management skills. Gain employment in a hospital, clinic,

Medical Administrative Assistant - DiplomaBack to topThe Medical Administrative Assistant program provides you with the skills necessary to manage the day-to-day operations of a medical facility. The administrative, business and communication courses will provide you with a well-rounded background to meet the needs of today's ever-changing medical industry. Medical Insurance Billing/Coding - DiplomaBack to topOur Medical Insurance Billing/Coding program is designed to prepare students for positions as medical insurance billers and coders in today's health care offices, clinics, and facilities. Several courses are provided to complete the program and better prepare students. The program begins with Insurance Specialist, Legal Issues, Front Office, Customer Service, and the Health Insurance Claim Form course which is an introduction to general responsibilities of the insurance specialist. The Private Insurance Plans (Blue Cross/ Blue Shield) and Medicare courses cover all aspects of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield insurance, as well as Medicare and its related programs. In addition, there is an introduction to electronic billing. The TRICARE/CHAMPVA, Managed Care, Dental Billing course provides students with the knowledge of all aspects of TRICARE/CHAMPVA insurance programs, such as Managed Care, including HMO, PPO, POS, and their related forms. Dental Assisting - DiplomaBack to topThe variety of tasks you will learn will allow you to be challenged by diverse responsibilities in the delivery of dental care. You will gain knowledge of the basic dental sciences, proficiency in laboratory and clinical skills, and practical experience involving specialized skills. You will be trained in valuable clinical, radiographic, and administrative procedures, leading to career opportunities with dental offices, dental-supply manufacturers, hospital dental departments and insurance companies. Additional entry-level positions include dental receptionists, dental insurance clerks, dental-supply salespeople and administrative assistants. Successful completion of the Dental Assisting program is acknowledged with a diploma, a Radiation Safety Certificate and verification of coronal polish completion. Pharmacy Technician - DiplomaBack to topYou will develop strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills needed to interact with patients, co-workers and healthcare professionals. You will gain strong mathematical, organizational and technical skills needed to count and measure medication, manage inventories and complete pharmaceutical dosage forms. It is essential that you can recognize, spell, define and use appropriate medical terminology, words and abbreviations.
