Our Medical Insurance Billing/Coding program is designed to
prepare students for positions as medical insurance billers and
coders in today's health care offices, clinics, and facilities.
Several courses are provided to complete the program and better
prepare students. The program begins with Insurance Specialist,
Legal Issues, Front Office, Customer Service, and the Health
Insurance Claim Form course which is an introduction to general
responsibilities of the insurance specialist. The Private
Insurance Plans (Blue Cross/ Blue Shield) and Medicare courses
cover all aspects of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield insurance, as
well as Medicare and its related programs. In addition, there is
an introduction to electronic billing. The TRICARE/CHAMPVA,
Managed Care, Dental Billing course provides students with the
knowledge of all aspects of TRICARE/CHAMPVA insurance programs,
such as Managed Care, including HMO, PPO, POS, and their related
forms.

Successful completion of the Dental Assisting program is
acknowledged with a diploma, a Radiation Safety Certificate and
verification of coronal polish completion.
