Programs

Diploma - Medical Assistant

Graduates of this program will be prepared with professional competencies to work in various medical settings such as clinics, hospitals, hospice, home care or a physician's office. Students will choose either the clinical (back office) or the administrative (front office) specialization. The graduate will enter the job market with skills in medical terminology, clinical procedures, medical technology, CPR and first aid, medical office skills, customer service, insurance and billing and ICD-9-CM and CPT-4 coding.

Graduates in the clinical specialization who wish to pay the association fees are eligible to take the AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification exam upon completion of the AMT employment requirements. The program has been developed to follow the standards of the Association of Medical Technologists Roles of Delineation.

Diploma - Medical Insurance Billing & Coding

Medical Insurance Billing and Coding professionals analyze, organize and evaluate health insurance claim forms and handle coding of diagnosis, procedures, and therapies for billing. This program will prepare you for entry-level positions in physician's offices, clinics, hospitals and other health care facilities.

Diploma - Phlebotomy Technician

Phlebotomy Technicians perform a variety of blood drawing procedures and utilize techniques using standard equipment such as vacuutainer tubes and sleeves, tourniquets, syringes, and butterfly needles. They also prepare, process, label and store specimens and samples. This program prepares graduates to take a national certification exam and provides training for entry-level positions in laboratories, clinics, hospitals and other medical facilities.

Diploma - Pharmacy Technician

The Pharmacy Technician Program provides training for entry-level positions to effectively function in the role of a pharmacy technician in a hospital, pharmacy, pharmacy call center and other health care environments.
