The health services administration program, with a curriculum grounded in business administration and technology, provides graduates with a clear understanding of the dynamic and rapidly expanding health services industry. The Associate of Applied Science degree in Health Services Administration - Medical Insurance, Billing and Coding is designed to develop students' abilities to collect, process and use information essential to the well-being of the health services industry and its clients. With an understanding of business functions essential to the success of the health services industry and hands-on experience with coding and health services technology applications, students will be prepared for careers in a variety of health care operations including practitioners' officers, hospitals and long-term care facilities, as well as billing and insurance companies.
