Duties of a dental assistant are among the most comprehensive and
varied in the dental office. Dental assistants perform a variety
of patient care, office and laboratory duties. These tasks
require both interpersonal and technical skills. Students at
Tri-State Institute will learn to work chair-side as dentists
examine and treat patients.
The students will also learn to hand instruments and materials to
dentists for a variety of dental procedures in a general dental
practice, as well as dental specialty practices including oral
surgery, pediatric, orthodontic, periodontic, endodontic and

Paramedics primarily work in the pre-hospital setting and are the
"eyes, ears and hands" of the emergency room physician. In
addition to providing primary care to emergency patients in an
out-of-hospital setting, Tri-State's Paramedic program will train
