Arizona School of Health Sciences
Established in 1892 by the founder of osteopathy, A. T. Still,
MD, DO, ATSU began as the nation's first college of osteopathic
medicine and has evolved into a leading university of health
sciences. Today we offer more than 20 master's degrees across
allied health disciplines; doctorates in health education,
physical therapy, and audiology; the doctor of dental medicine
(DMD); and the doctor of osteopathic medicine (DO).
ATSU educates students to become whole person health care
professionals who continuously develop and demonstrate compassion
and competency. We believe this commitment to our students, and
by extension to the patients they will treat in the future, makes
us the most distinctive health sciences university in the
country.
ATSU is comprised of five schools: Arizona School of Dentistry
& Oral Health (ASDOH), Arizona School of Health Sciences
(ASHS), Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (KCOM), School
of Health Management (SHM) and School of Osteopathic Medicine in
Arizona (SOMA).

ATSU's Arizona School of Health Sciences offers a 40-credit-hour
master's program for licensed physician assistants. For PAs
without a bachelor's degree, a non-bachelor's degree track is
available. Candidates choose a concentration in either clinical
medicine or education/leadership. Graduates demonstrate
competence in their respective specialty area, receiving a strong
academic foundation that enhances their ability to practice in
varied clinical and administrative settings.

ATSU's Arizona School of Health Sciences offers an online
42-credit-hour transitional program for US licensed occupational
therapists who wish to study current issues and procedures in the
OT field. This program is divided into four areas: professional
practice, critical inquiry, electives, and a capstone experience.
Students focus on critical thinking, issues in mental health,
legislation, and evidence-based practice.

A.T. Still University offers this 15-course, 42-quarter-hour
Human Movement (MS) program which is designed to assist students
in the development of comprehensive knowledge of human movement
science, functional anatomy, physiology and kinesiology, as well
as functional assessment, program design, and program adherence.
Graduates of the ATSU Human Movement (MS) program will receive
the highest quality education in human movement, performance
enhancement, and corrective exercise through a flexible distance
education format that enables health care providers and those
practicing human movement, fitness, and wellness to gain the
knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to provide leadership
in advanced human movement services. There are three
concentration areas to choose from: Sports Conditioning, Exercise
and Sport Psychology, and Geriatric Exercise Science. ATSU has
partnered with the National Academy of Sports Medicine®
(NASM®) in developing the Human Movement (MS) program.

A.T. Still University's Arizona School of Health Sciences offers
a Doctor of Health Sciences (DHSc) degree through distance
learning with a one-week on-site institute. The Doctor of Health
Sciences is a post-professional degree designed for master's
prepared health professionals. The program aims to develop and
enhance the professional skills needed to provide competent
leadership in today's challenging health care systems. The
program focuses on building proficiencies in critical analysis
and evaluation of complex issues that affect the health of
society. This advanced degree prepares graduates to better
understand and effectively manage the ongoing challenges of
access, cost, and quality in health care. The program facilitates
the development of resolution oriented practices to better
analyze, plan, implement and evaluate proposed solutions to
health system dilemmas. The DHSc program provides present health
professionals with the knowledge and skills to excel in project
management, decision-making, organizational management,
establishing evidence-based standards, and gaining the
competencies to apply research to professional practice.
The program consists of 70 credit hours of study, including 64
credit hours completed through distance education and a one-week,
six-credit-hour residency held at ATSU's Mesa, Arizona, campus.
Students have the opportunity to focus on one of three
concentration areas which include global health; organizational
behavior and leadership; and advanced physician assistant
studies. The program also promotes application of research to
professional practice through completion of an applied research
project.

A.T. Still University offers this transitional degree program
that is designed for the practicing audiologist. The broadly
experienced, self-motivated audiologist will receive advanced
standing in appropriate areas and follow an individualized course
of study, including required courses in areas of deficiencies and
chosen electives. Areas of study include procedures for diagnosis
and treatment of audiovestibular system disorders, advanced
amplification technology, practice development and management,
counseling and professionalism.

ATSU's Arizona School of Health Sciences offers an online
transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program for
practicing physical therapists who wish to enhance their skills
and professional credentials. Program length is 10–22
courses depending on students' current level of education,
experience, and skills as defined by the American Physical
Therapy Association's "Normative Model of Physical Therapist
Professional Education, Version 2000" and an evaluation using an
extensive portfolio.
