Lancaster Campus

YTI Career Institute - Lancaster is a 52,000 square foot building that was renovated in July 2003 to accommodate the culinary division and provide opportunities for additional new programs. Our culinary facilities include four kitchen laboratories and a 2,000 square-foot demonstration kitchen offering theater-style seating. Four allied health labs support the medical programs and our industry-current dental assisting clinical laboratory is equipped with six dental chair and exam stations.

Dental Assisting - Diploma

The dental assisting program is designed to provide graduates with necessary skills to secure an entry-level position as a dental assistant in a general dentistry practice, orthodontic practice, pediatric dentistry, endodontics, oral surgery and periodontics. Students will develop front office and lab skills including how to provide a preventative treatment plan for patients, take and develop manual x-rays, use a panoramic x-ray machine, take digital x-rays, mix dental materials, assist the dentist with dental procedures, mix dental materials, manage inventory and ordering of supplies, provide patient education, manage the front of a dental office, and much more.

Medical Billing & Coding - Diploma

YTI's medical billing and coding program provides hands-on experience necessary to enter billing and account information in health care facilities such as hospitals, doctors' offices, clinics and long-term care facilities. Students will learn medical vocabulary and code transcription procedures to prepare them for entry-level positions as medical billing assistants or medical coders.

Medical Assistant - Associate in Specialized Technology Degree

This program will provide graduates with the necessary skills to secure entry-level positions as a medical assistant in physician's offices, health care clinics, hospitals, nursing homes and other health practitioner's offices. Students will receive both administrative and clinical training, including how to:

• Schedule appointments
• Take and record vital signs
• Patient billing and coding
• Ultrasound treatments
• Urinalysis
• Medical transcription
• Hematocrit
• 12-lead electrocardiogram
• Pregnancy testing
