Medical Administrative Assistant

The Medical Administrative program facilitates the development of clerical skills and introduces students to clinical procedures, Alberta Health Care billing transactions, medical transcription and medical terminology. The 900-hour program combines lectures, hands-on learning via practical exercises, projects and exam, group discussions, on-line progress checks for immediate feedback, and course ware that is easy to understand.

The Medical Administrative Assistant program prepares graduates for an exciting and fast-paced career in health care. Employment opportunities exist for graduates in medical clinics, specialists' offices, insurance companies and acute or extended care hospitals. Placement assistance is available through our Employment Services Department.
