Medical Administrative Assistant

The Medical Administrative Assistant program facilitates the development of clerical skills and introduces students to clinical procedures, Alberta Health Care billing transactions, medical transcription and medical terminology. The 900-hour program combines lectures, hands-on learning via practical exercises, projects and exam, group discussions, on-line progress checks for immediate feedback, and courseware that is easy to understand.

The Medical Administrative Assistant program prepares graduates for an exciting and fast-paced career in health care. Employment opportunities exist for graduates in medical clinics, specialists' offices, insurance companies and acute or extended care hospitals. Placement assistance is available through our Employment Services Department.

Pharmacy Technician

This comprehensive program prepares individuals to achieve competency in the skills and theoretical knowledge necessary to enter the Pharmacy environment as a Pharmacy Technician. Emphasizing a customer-centered approach, this program also helps develop the proper attitude and sense of responsibility necessary for success in the progressive field of Pharmacy.
