Dental Assistant - Diploma

The Dental Assistant diploma program at Fortis College - Richmond is designed to provide students with high-quality academic and clinical instruction. The education provides the knowledge and skills needed to function as an entry-level dental assistant in a dental office or clinic setting and function effectively as an integral member of the dental health team. Students will also experience higher levels of critical thinking activities in the degree program. These courses are designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills to promote success in their chosen careers.

Massage Therapy - Diploma

This program teaches students the fundamentals of massage, prepares you to take the national certification exam and to work in the massage industry.

Medical Assisting - Diploma

This program provides students with the knowledge, skills and techniques needed to perform professional duties in a medical office or clinic setting. Students are trained in anatomy, physiology, medical terminology and administrative functions.

Medical Office Specialist - Diploma

This program is designed to prepare students to perform administrative tasks such as: medical billing and coding, medical claims processing and examination, collections and follow-up on delinquent claims, keyboarding and word processing.

Surgical Technologist - Diploma

Graduates of this skill-intensive program will learn the methods, technology and instrumentation needed to assist surgeons in the operating room.
