The objective of the Dental Assistant program is to train
students to acquire satisfactory skills and demonstrate
competence in a variety of dental office procedures and
laboratory techniques. The procedures and lab techniques include
preliminary examination procedure, assisting at chair-side using
four-handed dentistry, charting, appointment scheduling, keeping
patient records and sterilizing instruments. Under the direct
supervision of a dentist, the assistant may perform expanded
functions such as intraoral procedures in restorative dentistry
and oral surgery. The assistant qualified in radiology may also
take and expose radiographs. Students are evaluated in all areas
of professional development including applicable spelling,
terminology, theory and performance skills, as well as front
office skills and general education subjects. Upon satisfactory
completion of the program, students will be qualified to assume
entry-level positions as a dental assistant in dental offices and
clinics performing the lab techniques and office procedures
described above.

This program is designed to prepare the student as an Emergency
Medical Technician - Paramedic. Prerequisites for taking the
EMT-Paramedic examination include certification and one year
longevity as a Florida EMT-Basic. The EMT-B performs Basic Life
Support (BLS) techniques including (but not limited to) such
non-invasive skills as patient assessment, communication,
splinting, patient stabilization, bandaging, patient movement and
patient transportation. EMT-B may also include a limited number
of invasive skills as may be offered by the EMS System Medical
Director and approved by the State of Florida.

medical community using correct anatomical terminology. In
addition to gaining an in-depth knowledge of the business of
massage, the successful graduate of TCI's Massage Therapy program
will be able to conduct a full body Swedish Massage incorporating
the techniques of Deep Tissue Massage, Neuro-Muscular Therapy,
and other massage techniques.
Massage Therapy graduates will receive a diploma upon successful
