Associate's in Health Information Management

The Health Information Management (HIM) at Bohecker College provides students with the theory and practice specific to the field of HIM. The program consists of courses, labs and clinical experiences that cover basic HIM concepts, as well as the basic and general education courses needed for students to earn and associate degree. Teaching methods for the course may include lecture, discussion, student presentation, simulation, audiovisuals and computer programs.

Associate's in Medical Assisting

Bohecker's Medical Assisting/Administration program is designed to expose you to both the administrative and clinical aspects of the modern health care environment. We place emphasis on medical theory and terminology, teaching you the practices and procedures associated with the operation of a health care facility.

In addition to the education our students receive at Bohecker, our graduates have the opportunity to be certified with NAHP (National Allied Health Professionals). Certification is available in the following specialties:

• Medical Assisting
• Phlebotomy
• EKG Technician

Upon graduation, you will be prepared to work in a health care setting performing a broad range of administrative and clinical tasks delegated by a physician. Our program prepares you for various entry-level positions in clinics, hospitals, doctor's offices, health centers, and insurance companies.
