Dental Assistant - DiplomaBack to topThis program gives students the training and skills necessary to gain entry-level employment as dental assistants in dental practices. Students learn to take X-rays, impressions and perform other dental procedures. Medical Assistant - DiplomaBack to topThis program provides students the skills, knowledge and training necessary to perform the duties of an entry-level medical assistant in a clinic, hospital or physician's office. Students learn to perform electrocardiograph (EKG) examinations, assist with minor surgical procedures, take vital signs, administer injections and handle administrative tasks. Patient Care Technician - DiplomaBack to topWith training in the Patient Care Technician program, students can expect to find employment opportunities in hospitals, rehabilitation centers, specialty and urgent care centers, long-term and skilled nursing facilities, and placement agencies. Graduates of this program will get the skills and training to work as a patient care technician, nursing assistant or home health aide. The Patient Care Technician Program is designed to train students to become an integral member of the health care delivery team. The program combines basic knowledge with applied skills mastered in both the classroom and the laboratory. In this multi-occupational program, students are cross-trained to perform any number of clinical skills from performing basic patient care skills required of a certified nursing assistant, to performing electrocardiograms as an EKG Technician, to collecting laboratory specimens as a Phlebotomist or to assisting a patient to walk for the first time as a physical therapy aide or occupational therapy aide. Campus LocationsOur Loop campus is located at 11. E. Adams in Chicago and is at the corner of Adams and State streets, in the downtown Loop. Our O'Hare campus is at 8750 W. Bryn Mawr near Cumberland Avenue, just east of the O'Hare airport, and near the Kennedy Expressway and the Cumberland blue line stop.
