Coursework includes: Economics in Health Care Organizations Leading Diverse Groups and Teams Informatics in Health Care Organizations Theory, Practices, and Ethics of Leadership Marketing Fundamentals Financial Accounting in Health Care Organizations Organizational Training and Development, and Project Management. The program culminates with the Leadership Capstone Seminar in which student work in teams on a group-designed project that applies leadership theories and frameworks, demonstrates critical analysis, and incorporates scholarly research and attention to ethical awareness.

Enrollment in the Health Care Leadership and Management Program at Platt is limited to a small number of high-caliber students to ensure personalized attention from instructors, and to foster close teamwork. Platt's focus on drawing students exclusively from the local Southern California health care community helps provide additional opportunities to build personal networks with fellow professionals in the industry.
