This program provides students with the education, training,
basic skills and knowledge for a career working directly with
physicians and in other health care facilities as a Medical
Assistant. Program curriculum also include clinical skills such
as CPR, first aid, phlebotomy and overall medical assisting.
Upon graduation as a medical assistant, you will be able to
perform a variety of duties, such as helping physicians examine
and treat patients or performing certain office medical
procedures.

Medical Billing and Coding Specialist - Diploma

Students in Medical Billing and Coding Specialist Diploma program
will receive accelerated training in courses designed for skills
in the health care office. Students will take courses in medical
terminology, procedural coding, diagnostic coding, insurance
billing, and anatomy and physiology.
Over the next few years, the need for medical billing and coding
specialists will rise due to increasing demand for detailed
records, especially in large group practices. Rapid growth also
is expected in nursing care facilities, home health care service
and outpatient care centers.

The objective of the 9-month Patient Care Technician diploma
program is to provide the student with the appropriate didactic
theory and hands-on skills required and necessary to prepare them
for entry level positions in patient care technology, nursing
assisting, physical therapy and occupational therapy, home
health, electrocardiography and phlebotomy in today's health care
centers, clinics and facilities.
