The triOS College Pharmacy Technician diploma program provides

service in the dispensary. Pharmacy technicians must at all times
work directly under the supervision and guidance of a pharmacist.

Personal support workers are an important part of the health care
team. The Personal Support Worker diploma program enables you to
develop skills required to provide personal support services to
patients and their families, clients and residents in the
community, at home, in hospitals and in long-term care
facilities. Services provided by personal support workers include
assistance in routine daily living activities, mobility, personal
care and hygiene, ongoing medical conditions and medications and
management of household activities.
The Personal Support Worker diploma program is an intensive 29
week program recognized by the National Association of Career
Colleges. The triOS program combines instructor led training with
a clinical work placement designed to prepare students for a
career in health care.

Medical office assistants are an important part of the health
care team with expanding job responsibilities. As a medical
office assistant, you are often responsible for greeting
patients, scheduling appointments, filing records and purchasing
supplies and equipment. Other duties may include patient
admissions, assisting with examinations, accounting and insurance
billing. You will use computers to enter and access important
patient information on a daily basis. Graduates of this program
often work in a variety of jobs including medical office
assistant, medical administrative assistant, dental office
administrator, patient representative and administrative
assistant. At triOS , you can choose between 34 week program and
a 38 week program with an internship.

students with the necessary skills and academic knowledge for
entry-level positions in hospitals, medical offices,
rehabilitation centres, long-term care facilities and
work-from-home opportunities. This program provides an overview

Community services workers provide many types of assistance to
people in the community from determining eligibility for welfare
and health programs to counseling on child care, to helping
clients with physical and mental problems as well as those
involved in drug and substance abuse. They help determine and
locate appropriate social service agencies such as those
providing health care and physical and mental rehabilitation.
Working under the direction and supervision of nurses,
counselors, social workers, psychologists and other
professionals, and depending upon the type of work assignment,
they may be a member of a treatment team made up of other
community services workers and health professionals, or they may
work on their own with little supervision. At triOS , you can
choose between 39 week program and a 47 week program with an
internship.

ability to listen and be physically able to assist in patient

Physiotherapist assistants are taught how the body functions.
Knowledge is acquired on disease, injury and the healing process,
detection of deficiencies in posture, balance, movement and
function. Graduates from the program are eligible to join the
National Support Worker Assembly which is the parallel
association under the umbrella of the Canadian Physiotherapy
Association (CPA).
