The Bachelor of Science in Health Care Administration program is
designed to provide health care practitioners with the
competencies to function as supervisors and managers in health
care settings. The curriculum provides a working foundation in
management and interpersonal skills, while at the same time
introducing the student to the health care delivery system and
its many and varied issues and challenges. Graduates are not only better prepared to assume increased management responsibilities, but to do so with a better understanding of the complex system in which they work. Students are prepared to work in entry-level management and accounting positions in hospitals, clinics and long-term care facilities. Medical Specialties - Associate'sBack to topMedical specialists are responsible for duties such as sterilizing equipment, preparing a patient for examination, assisting the doctor during an examination, performing tests and much more. Medical specialists are in great demand in all geographic areas, in doctors' offices, hospitals, laboratories and health centers. You will have many opportunities as a medical assistant, pharmacy technician, lab assistant, EKG technician or phlebotomist. You may decide to work for a surgeon, pediatrician or general practitioner in a private office, hospital or diagnostic laboratory.
