A Personal Touch - A Professional Commitment

Atlanta School of Massage, named a 2004 School of Distinction by the Accrediting Commission of Career School and Colleges of Technology, has been an international leader in massage therapy education for over 25 years. Our faculty and staff members have a shared mission - to provide superior massage therapy education in a supportive environment. We have a long-standing, reliable, proven and consistent commitment to excellence. Our faculty is comprised of highly skilled, experienced and compassionate professionals who are committed to the success of their students. The massage instructors, all certified practicing massage therapists, undergo a rigorous teacher-training program and on-going refresher courses. We are one of the few massage schools in the nation that invests in the expertise provided by a full-time teaching body. Many of our instructors have offered their expert guidance to our students for more than a decade.

Neuromuscular Therapy - Certificate

Neuromuscular therapy is a system of soft tissue manipulation that addresses the underlying causes of pain, not just the symptoms. An accomplished neuromuscular therapist interprets the effects of postural distortion and dysfunctional biomechanics, reduced circulation, trigger points, nerve impingement and tension, somatovisceral and viscerosomatic reflexes and trauma. These factors can often create irregular activity in the central nervous system that leads to pain and dysfunction. In the course, you will study the physiology of each of these important factors. As a leading massage therapist school, Atlanta School of Massage teaches you to match the physiology of each condition with the physiological effect of your technique. The ability to choose the appropriate massage technique allows our massage therapist school graduates to maximize the effects of their treatment.
