Master of Science in Medical Informatics (Distance Learning)

The field of medical information is experiencing significant growth as healthcare and related industries have become increasingly dependent on information management.

To prepare leaders in this exciting new field, Northwestern University School of Continuing Studies, in partnership with the Feinberg School of Medicine, offers the Master of Science in Medical Informatics (MMI) program in an online format.

This eleven-course graduate program includes classes in clinical thinking, decision support systems in healthcare, healthcare enterprise operations, management of medical technologies, and legal, ethical and social issues related to healthcare. It also features a capstone course with opportunities for an applied research project and a leadership development experience.

The medical informatics online program offers the rigorous academic experience of the classroom program and uses the latest online collaboration tools to make it easy for students to work and learn with faculty, classmates, and leading researchers and practitioners in the medical informatics field.

The MMI program at Northwestern University offers a dynamic interactive learning experience with small class sizes, individual and team projects, and faculty interaction combined with rich online materials.
