Baltimore School of Massage - York

The Baltimore School of Massage, York Campus, is nestled in the green rolling hills of York, PA, the home of the peppermint patty. This quaint city is located in the heart of Pennsylvania and just two hours from New York, Washington, D.C. and Philadelphia. The campus was opened in June, 1999, relocated to its current location in 2000 at which time the campus was granted accreditation from ACCSCT as a branch location. In October of 2003 this campus also received programmatic accreditation from COMTA as a branch campus.

The school’s Career Services Department has built a relationship with some of the most successful employers in the industry and employ career services coordinators to help you achieve your career goals. The school offers full-time as well as part-time schedules with day and evening classes to make it easy for you to fulfill your dream of becoming a massage therapist!

Massage Therapy Program

The 637-hour Professional Massage Training Program includes an in-depth study of Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage and Myofascial Release Techniques. The curriculum includes courses in anatomy & physiology, body movement in relation to body mechanics, expansion of the mind/body relationship, business building, and ethics and professionalism.

Students are also required to do Student Clinic, and are encouraged to participate in Community Outreach. The entire program is designed to refine the students’ palpation skills and to reinforce all of the program elements. Upon completion of the program, graduates will have obtained the necessary skills and tools to become professional qualified practitioners and are prepared to take the National Certification Examination.

The school also offers a professional program in Shiatsu and Asian Bodywork. Upon completion of the 795-hour program students will have obtained the skills and insight necessary to use their knowledge of Shiatsu and Asian Bodywork as a stand-alone practice or in conjunction with their existing bodywork practice. Graduates who complete this course of study are qualified to apply for National Certification in Asian Bodywork Therapy.
