Florida College of Natural Health - Fort LauderdaleThe Florida College of Natural Health - Fort Lauderdale campus is conveniently located minutes from the city on the northeast corner of Sample and Powerline Roads in Pompano Beach, Florida. The campus is approximately 12,000 square feet in size. Fort Lauderdale is a city whose beach front extends for miles without interruption. Honeycombed with more than 260 miles of navigable waterways, the city is home to about 4,000 privately owned boats. Visitors can tour the canals via the city’s water-taxi system. The jewel of the downtown area is a new arts and entertainment district. Broadway shows at the Riverfront Broward Center for the Performing Arts, exhibits at the Museum of Art, the historic district, as well as the Museum of Discovery and Science are all within walking distance. Tying this district together is the Riverwalk, which extends one mile along the New River with benches strategically placed in a tropical garden setting. Restaurants, sidewalk cafes, delis and blues, folk, jazz, reggae and rock clubs flourish. Massage Therapy - DiplomaThis program blends training in therapeutic massage with knowledge of the structure and function of the human body. In addition, the curriculum provides students with training in hydrotherapy, Florida massage law and the most current allied modalities. This program will adequately prepare students for their role in the health care community. The objective of the program is to prepare students for the Florida State Board/National Certification Examination for licensure by developing the skills necessary to meet the needs of the health care community. Upon passage of the examination, graduates seek employment as entry-level licensed massage therapists. We strive to give students a thorough working knowledge of the structure and function of the human body and the theory of natural health care methodologies.
