in-demand career training for those seeking entry-level positions
in a variety of professions.
The Career Services Department at Central Florida College
provides assistance to currently enrolled students. A file of
each student's academic performance and attendance record is kept
in order to provide prospective employers with proper background
information. Recent graduates and students approaching graduation
receive first priority for job search assistance. Students who
are seeking part-time employment also have access to job search
assistance.
The aesthetics skincare program provides students training in the
traditional holistic approach to skincare and includes additional
training in the areas of make up and color analysis, mask and spa
therapies, hair removal, enzyme treatments, pressure points
massage, body wrapping, microdermabrasion and hot stone
treatments. Graduates from the program will demonstrate a basic
and advanced understanding of the structure and function of the
skin and how to apply skin care treatments through the effective
utilization of product and equipment protocols. The Aesthetics
Skincare Diploma prepares students for registration in the state
of Florida as a registered facial specialist and certification in
body wrapping.

The objective of this program is to prepare students to function
effectively as an integral member of the dental health team in
the operation of a dental practice. Students in this program will
acquire satisfactory skills and demonstrate competence in a
variety of dental office procedures and laboratory techniques.
Students will learn the administrative procedures currently
practiced in dental settings through instruction provided in the
program and through clinical experiences in private practices.
Health Information Technology (Medical Coding) - Diploma and

The Health Information Technology program prepares the graduate
to apply for entry-level coding positions in physicians' offices,
clinics, and other medical facilities. The medical coding
specialist is trained using various coding systems to classify
medical data such as: CPT, ICD-9 and HCPCS along with uniform
billing practices and procedures in insurance claims processing.

The objective of the Medical Assisting program is to provide the
graduate with the knowledge and ability to perform various
administrative and clinical procedures, in a medical office,
clinic or health care facility at the entry-level. The student is
trained to carry out clinical procedures such as recording vital
signs, conducting routine lab procedures, basic diagnostic
procedures, EKGs and phlebotomy. Administratively, the student is
trained in front office procedures such as greeting patients,
computer operation, filing, billing, scheduling and insurance
claims.
Pharmacy Technology - Associate's

The pharmacy technology program provides the student with an
opportunity to develop the technical ability, knowledge and
skills required for entry-level employment in any number of
health care facilities and retail establishments as a Pharmacy
Technician. The student participates in classroom lecture,
intense training in a mock lab setting, and transition to a
pharmacy in local health care facilities or retail
establishments. Graduates may find employment in hospitals,
nursing care facilities, retail and wholesale pharmacies, drug
manufactures and health maintenance organizations. The graduate
can demonstrate communication and employability skills and can
apply appropriate medical ethics to all areas of the job.
