Wright Career College, a private not-for-profit career training center, can help you prepare for an exciting medical career. Most of our training programs can be completed in less than a year. We offer flexible schedules, with day and evening classes, so you can work and go to school at the same time. Financial aid is available for students who qualify.

Diploma Programs


We offer hands-on career training in the following areas:


Medical Assistant

This program is designed to prepare students for entry-level positions as medical assistants in a doctor's office or other health care facility. Emphasis is placed on medical terminology, medical office procedures, transcription and communication.

Surgical Technician

This program is designed to teach students the skills necessary for an entry-level position as a surgical technician. Emphasis is placed on medical terminology, pharmacology, anatomy, physiology, diagnostic procedures and surgical instrumentation.

Administrative Medical Assistant

This program is designed to prepare students for entry-level positions as administrative (business) medical assistants in a doctor's office or other health care facility.

Medical Transcriptionist

This program is designed to help students become proficient in medical transcription for careers in a doctor's office or other health care facility.

Medical Insurance Coding

This program is designed to prepare students for an entry-level position as a medical insurance coding specialist in a doctor's office or other health care facility. Emphasis is placed on medical terminology and medical office procedures such as billing, insurance filing and reimbursements.
