Dental Assisting - Diploma

The variety of tasks you will learn will allow you to be challenged by diverse responsibilities in the delivery of dental care. You will gain knowledge of the basic dental sciences, proficiency in laboratory and clinical skills, and practical experience involving specialized skills. You will be trained in valuable clinical, radiographic and administrative procedures, leading to career opportunities with dental offices, dental-supply manufacturers, hospital dental departments and insurance companies. Additional entry-level positions include dental receptionists, dental insurance clerks, dental-supply salespeople and administrative assistants.

Our training program is divided into learning units called modules. Upon successful completion of the modules, you are required to participate in a 160-hour externship. This program provides you with the opportunity to interact with patients and apply the principles and practices learned in the classroom. You will obtain hands-on experience in a laboratory setting using major equipment such as amalgamators, dental units and chairs, model trimmers, oral evacuation equipment, oxygen tanks, personal computers, ultrasonic units and X-ray units.

Successful completion of the Dental Assisting program is acknowledged with a diploma, a Radiation Safety Certificate and verification of coronal polish completion.

Massage Therapy - Diploma

The massage therapy program provides the basic knowledge, tools, ethics and behaviors that will enable you to successfully practice as a massage therapist in a variety of health care settings. You will gain in-depth educational skills that increase your knowledge and develop specialized techniques of massage.

Medical Assisting - Diploma

The Medical Assisting program is designed to provide graduates with the necessary skills to obtain an entry-level position as a Medical assistant in a physician's office, hospital, laboratory or clinic. The education includes the study of anatomy and physiology, law and ethics, medical terminology and pharmacology. Students also study clinical procedures such as vital signs, sterilization techniques, patient exam preparation, venipuncture, first aid, minor surgeries, EKG, CPR, injections and medical office and basic lab procedures.

Medical Insurance Billing/Coding - Diploma

In our Medical Insurance Billing/Coding program, you will learn the basic concepts and procedures to perform the tasks involved in health insurance as well as insurance claim forms. You will also gain knowledge of basic coding definitions and how to apply those codes to medical documentation.

To succeed in this field, you will need to possess a combination of skills. A thorough knowledge of medical terminology, preparing and processing of insurance claims, set up and maintenance of patient records, and proper code selection and application are all essential tools for this profession. Strong computer and keyboarding skills are also vital to the effectiveness of these jobs.

This program offers simulated practice where you manually and electronically prepare insurance claims. You will practice interviewing and documenting skills to obtain the necessary patient information for successfully completing and managing claims.

Pharmacy Technician - Diploma

By completing the Pharmacy Technician program, you can join the ranks of thousands of others and start aiding licensed pharmacists by providing medication and other health care products to patients.

Our program will provide you with strong academic and clinical backgrounds in the areas of pharmacy administration, anatomy and physiology, nutrition, medical terminology and pharmacology.

You will develop strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills needed to interact with patients, co-workers and health care professionals. You will gain strong mathematical and organizational skills needed to manage inventories, count and measure medication and use computers.
