Career Placement with a Personal Approach
Vet Tech Institute takes a proactive, personal approach to career placement, because we know how important it is to our graduates. Throughout their experience at Vet Tech Institute, students learn résumé preparation, interviewing and salary negotiation. All recent and new graduates have access to personal placement assistance in finding positions in their fields. We work very hard at placement and take great pride in the success of our alumni.
Financial Aid Options
One of the realities of attending any educational institution beyond high school is the need to pay for it. Vet Tech Institute recognizes that not all students and their families can afford to provide the entire cost of post-secondary education. Vet Tech Institute's experienced and effective financial aid personnel will work with you and your family on financial aid options.
Convenient Location with Housing Options
Vet Tech Institute occupies a prime, newly remodeled location in the Cultural District of downtown Pittsburgh within one block of Heinz Hall, the O'Reilly Theater and Benedum Center and across the river from PNC Park and the Steelers' Heinz Field. Vet Tech Institute's admissions staff will help find housing for out-of-town students.
Accreditation
The Veterinary Technician program is accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) Committee on Veterinary Technician Education and Activities (CVTEA).
Veterinary Technician - Associate's
Vet Tech Institute was the first veterinary technician program in Western Pennsylvania to be accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA). This nationally recognized accreditation enables program graduates to sit for the Veterinary Technician National Exam (VTNE) to become licensed veterinary technicians. During this 16-month program, Vet Tech Institute's on-site kennel, surgical, x-ray laboratory and off-site large animal facilities provide endless opportunities to "do" as you learn.
