Medical Assistant - Diploma

You will learn many diverse clinical and administrative skills associated with this career. These skills include but are not limited to:

  • Taking medical histories
  • Recording vital signs
  • Preparing patients for examination
  • Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens
  • Instructing patients about medications and special diets
  • Prepare patients for x rays
  • Take electrocardiograms
  • Remove sutures
  • Change dressings

You will also learn how to update and file patients' medical records, fill out insurance forms, schedule appointments, and billing and bookkeeping.
