Health Information Management - Bachelor of ScienceThe UC HIM program provides a unique path for RHITs to obtain their BS in HIM in just 2 ¼ years. This program has been tailor-made for working RHITs who don't want to be bogged down with countless electives in their efforts to obtain a Bachelor's degree. The accelerated curriculum is made possible by an advanced network of support, allowing working professionals to get in, get out, and start making more money as soon as possible. The online Health Information Management program is designed to be manageable within the lifestyle of busy working students. All course content is delivered through a combination of lectures, readings, discussions, online assignments, and peer and professional support systems. A 2008 AHIMA salary study shows that a certified RHIA will earn between $9,000 and $16,000 more annually.
