Biomedical Equipment Technology - Associate of Applied Science

The Biomedical Equipment Technology program is designed to
prepare the student for a variety of positions in an industry
that installs, inspects, repairs and maintains medical equipment.
It provides the student training in electronics technology with
specialized emphasis on medical applications and computer systems
technology. Coursework also focuses on anatomy and biology,
engineering and biomedical instrumentation. Students receive a
multidisciplinary skill set that is transferable to many career
fields.
Health Care Administration - Associate of Applied Science

The Health Care Administration program prepares students to
understand the essential components of managerial and
organizational support in the health care industry. Students will
learn how various health care systems operate and the multiple
aspects of the field. At the same time, they will receive
hands-on training in the administrative facets of health care
services for the general public. Graduates of this program will
be prepared for entry-level positions in hospitals, clinics,
health care insurance offices, home health care agencies, public
health settings and other health care-related organizations.

prepares graduates to work under the direction of physicians in a

The Occupational Therapy Assistant program prepares graduates for
entry-level employment, working under the direction of an
occupational therapist. Students are trained to administer
occupational therapy treatments to individuals who have lost
functional abilities due to illness, injury or disease.
Coursework combines lecture, laboratory and clinical experiences.
General education elements of the program enhance students'
communication and problem-solving skills to enhance their
effectiveness in the occupational therapy profession. The program
prepares the graduate for the National Board for Certification in
Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification examination for
occupational therapy assistants.
