Massage Therapy

The massage field has simply exploded in the last decade, increasing the demand for qualified massage practitioners.

More people are using massage as a means of relaxation, therapy and rehabilitation. The demand for massage is growing and will continue to grow as it becomes increasingly intertwined with the mainstream medical community. More people are being referred to massage practitioners to recover from injuries and muscle- and joint-related medical problems.

Graduates of our massage program have a wide array of career options. Many choose to create and run their own massage practice while others choose to work in massage clinics, rehabilitative clinics, chiropractic offices, spas and resorts, with sports teams and as sponsors of sporting events.

Medical Assisting

Medical Assistants are trained in both administrative and clinical procedures, and are capable of filling a variety of rewarding positions. Our training program is divided into learning units called modules. You must complete the modules in their entirety, in any sequence, to successfully complete this curriculum. Upon successful completion of the modules, you are required to participate in a 160-hour externship. This program provides you with the opportunity to interact with patients and apply the principles and practices learned in the classroom.

You will be prepared to maintain the highest quality of patient care; take vital signs and run laboratory and diagnostic tests, all while utilizing your organization, communication and management skills. Gain employment in a hospital, clinic, doctor's office, nursing home, medical-supply business, home health care agency, insurance company or pharmaceutical company.

Medical Insurance Billing/Coding

The Medical Insurance Billing/Coding Program is designed to prepare students for entry level positions as medical insurance billers/coders in today's health care offices, clinics and facilities. Students study diagnostic and procedural terminology as it relates to the accurate completion of medical insurance claims. Utilizing a format of medical specialties, relevant terms will be introduced and studied.

Professional Licensing and Spa and Aromatherapy

The spa industry is booming and resorts, spas, full-service salons, clinics and day spas everywhere are seeking well-trained Aromatherapists.

Graduates of the Aromatherapy and Spa program are thoroughly versed in the history of Aromatherapy, the botany and chemistry of essential oils, the blending techniques of 30 essential oils, as well as spa therapies. This specialty can be used to bolster your existing massage practice, in complementary fields such as nursing or simply on its own. However you use it, it can make a wonderful difference in your life.
