Dental Office and Chairside Assistant
The Dental Office and Chairside Assistant program is designed
to provide you with knowledge of valuable clinical, laboratory
and administrative procedures in a dental office environment.
The comprehensive and intensive curriculum will equip you with
the skills to perform the following essential tasks: prepare
clients for examinations and treatments, perform radiological
procedures, and prepare dental materials and equipment.
To provide efficient office support, you will learn vital
administrative procedures that include bookkeeping and
scheduling tasks. You will be familiarized with basic manual
and computerized office methods. The variety of duties taught
in this program will allow you to be challenged by diverse
responsibilities in the dental workplace.
Intra-Oral Level II Dental Assistant
This diploma program is both comprehensive and intensive. The
Level I components of the program train individuals in a broad
range of clinical and laboratory skills. In their assisting
role with a dentist, they may prepare the treatment rooms;
sterilize, disinfect and transfer dental instruments; assist
with the suctioning apparatus; and prepare dental materials.
Administrative education includes basic manual and computerized
office procedures such as bookkeeping and appointment control -
equipping the graduate with skills to contribute in all areas
of a dental office.

Addictions and Community Services Worker
The Addictions Worker program is designed to provide you with
knowledge of valuable community outreach programs and services.
Through classroom and hands-on instruction, you will gain
essential tools to offer vital assistance in the areas of
alcoholism, drug abuse, family violence and the aged.
You will be prepared to gain entry-level employment in an array
of settings that include: child, youth, and family social
service agencies; group homes; correctional and community
mental health centers; and facilities for the physically and
developmentally handicapped.
Medical Laboratory Assistant
The objective of this program is to help individuals prepare
for the challenges of a career within the medical environment.
Graduates enjoy the greatest career satisfaction when they are
scholastically prepared, hold a solid, practical understanding
of their responsibilities and begin their positions with a
healthy attitude. Everest College seeks to develop all of these
attributes within each student. The program provides both
theoretical and practical instruction in a well-equipped
classroom / laboratory setting. In class learning is
supplemented during the enrollment period by clinical work
experience in any of the fast-paced hospital departments.
Medical Office Administrator
This Medical Office Administrator program is designed to
provide students with the business, technology and
communications skills needed to work in a private physician's
office, single or multi-specialty clinic, or hospital setting.
Emphasis is placed on medical terminology, body systems,
medical transcription and medical office procedures. In
addition, the program fosters the development of interpersonal
skills, organizational effectiveness, and communication skills
necessary to function in a medical environment.
Personal Support Worker
The Personal Support Worker program is designed to provide you
with the skills and education to attend to the physical and
emotional needs of clients. You will gain the tools to provide
direct care in a variety of health care environments. The
curriculum emphasizes basic skills that includes: observing and
communicating with the client; stimulating physical and mental
activity; providing necessary personal care procedures; and
handling specialized equipment. You will have the skills to
effectively identify and quickly respond to the needs of
clients in the following settings: long-term care facility,
home health care agency, retirement home, hospice, and group
home.
