Examination Information
Graduates earn Health Insurance Portability and Accountability
Act (HIPAA) Certification, and are eligible to take several
national certification and credentialing examinations including
the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) exam.
Graduates are also eligible for certification as a Certified
Professional Coder (CPC) after one year of practice in the field.
Clinical Medical Assisting - Associate of Science or Certificate
(Online)
Program Highlights
This program provides specialized training for employment in
medical offices and medical specialty clinics. The curriculum
includes theory and practical applications in clinical medical
procedures. Topics and applications in the following subjects are
included in this program: human anatomy and physiology, medical
terminology, medical clinical procedures such as vital signs,
injections, venipuncture and electrocardiograms, health
histories, patient care, instrument set-ups, instrument
sterilization and emergency procedures.
