Medical Assistant - Associate's

The course work in the medical assistant program is designed to help you develop lab skills, gain clinical knowledge and learn medical office procedures. Course work includes:

Upon successful completion of the program, you will be awarded an associate of applied science degree. This program is designed to lead to entry-level employment in group practices, clinics, labs, hospitals, private offices and other health care facilities.

Certification Preparation

In addition to medical assisting preparation, the curriculum is also intended to prepare students to take the Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) exam sponsored by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA).**

Medical Transcriptionist Technician - Certificate

A wide variety of health facilities, labs and legal firms seek the services of medical transcriptionists. In fact, the U.S. Department of Labor predicts employment of medical transcriptionists to grow faster than average in all industries through 2014.* Kaplan University can help get you on the fast track to a rewarding field in the health care industry.

Kaplan University's curriculum is geared toward giving you a clear understanding and in-depth knowledge of medical transcription skills. With many transcriptionists having the option of working from a home-based office, the skills acquired in your formal training are critical to your success. Course work includes:
