Career Experience at Branford

Externships are a valuable part of most programs offered at Branford Hall. The purpose of the externship is to provide students with the opportunity to apply their skills and gain valuable experience in a medical environment before graduation.

Students generally serve their externship during their last term. The Career Services department assists students in securing externships. Branford also assists graduates in securing entry level positions that will lead to fulfilling their career objectives.

Health Claims Specialist Program - Diploma

(Medical Billing/Coding)

Massage Therapy - Diploma

With the surge in complementary health care, massage therapy has become one of the fastest growing professions in the wellness industry.

Potential career opportunities include, but are not limited to, working with athletic teams, physical therapy, hotels, day spas, corporate wellness programs, private practices, chiropractic clinics, airports, beauty salons, golf and country clubs, orthopedic clinics, fitness centers, resorts, cruise ships, hospitals, and nursing homes.

Medical Assistant Program - Diploma

Medical assistants perform a wide variety of clinical, administrative, and human relations functions, which keep physicians' offices, clinics, and other medical practices running smoothly.

This program is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, patient care procedures, pharmacology, medical office procedures, communication skills, as well as computer skills.

The medical assisting program includes an externship, enabling the student to gain real-world career experience.

Personal Fitness Trainer - Certificate

During the Professional Fitness Trainer program, students will receive training in exercise programming, interpersonal communication and marketing that is required in commercial, corporate or personal training environments. Graduates will be able to perform a variety of exercise related assessments and tests, design safe and effective exercise programs, support nutrition and activity in healthy lifestyles and be proficient in a variety of business related skills. Certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) will be included in this program. Those who successfully complete the program are prepared to sit for two national certifications examinations.

Financial Aid

Branford Hall offers our students financial support from various aid programs. Some of these funds originate from federal financial aid programs as well as in house financing plans. Our financial aid counselors work with students to tailor programs to meet their individual needs.
