D'Youville College is a private, co-educational, liberal arts and
professional college located in residential Buffalo, New York,
delivering skills, confidence, leadership and a global view in a
caring environment. Founded in 1908 by the Grey Nuns, D'Youville
College has long been considered a leader among colleges for its
progressive and comprehensive programs. With a student population
of approximately 3000, D'Youville offers its students the
diversity and resources of a much larger college and the
attention and accessibility that is usually attributed to a small
college. Our campus offers students comprehensive facilities,

This five-year program is accredited by the American Occupational
Therapy Association and graduated its first class in 1990.
Students will receive a bachelor's in Human Occupation and a
master's in Occupational Therapy. There are approximately 260
students enrolled in OT. Student and faculty professional
involvement and curriculum review is ongoing and reviews are
scheduled each semester to maintain a quality program. Graduates
enjoy a 100 percent employment rate upon graduation and also
receive above average salaries.

This six-year program leading to a dual Bachelor's degree either
in Biology, Health Services Management, or Exercise and Sports
Studies and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy is accredited by the
Commission of Accreditation for Physical Therapy Education. There
are approximately 270 students enrolled in this program which is
one of our most popular. The program has a strong student
association with a student mentor program for all new admissions.
Clinicians, faculty, and students are in integral part of
curriculum review and design. Students and faculty are leaders in
local and state professional associations and have presented at
national professional conferences and faculty have numerous
publications in medical journals.
Our surveys show 100 percent of D'Youville PT graduates are
employed at above average salaries. Career opportunities are
available in hospitals, mental health clinics, home care,
neurological rehabilitation, pediatrics, school settings, long
term care, education and research.
Bachelor of Science in Health Services Management

The Health Services Management program allows the student to work
with faculty in the graduate program in Health Services
Administration (MHSA) and the graduate program in Physical
Therapy (DPT). The program also offers direct admission to the
doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) under the Health Services
Management option. Extensive fieldwork is required for the Health
and Education or Operations option. Internships with affiliated
health agencies are included in the program.
BS/MS in Dietetics

D'Youville College's BS/MS Dietetics program combines an
undergraduate and graduate education within a variety of
professional settings and offers practice in conducting research.
This five-year fully coordinated program offers an innovative
departure from traditional four-year coordinated programs and
those that require an additional internship year. In addition,
this program is consistent with the emerging recommendation of
the American Dietetic Association regarding the importance of a
graduate degree in the field of nutrition.
Students gain practical experience in local facilities that
support the development of professional skills in clinical
dietetics, food service management and nutrition education. There
is also an opportunity to study one semester in Crete, Greece.
Graduates of the five-year program receive a combined BS/MS
degree and are eligible to take the national exam to become a
Registered Dietitian.

The New York State Education Department has approved our two
physician assistant degree programs: A combined bachelor and
master's degree (BS/MS) and a master's degree (MS). Our program
has been in existence since 1993 and this approval signifies our
commitment to ensuring that our students receive a superior
clinical education.
The mission of the D'Youville College physician assistant program
is to prepare high quality clinicians with the highest ethical
standards, who will be leaders in the PA profession. Our
graduates will be trained to serve a variety of patient
populations with sensitivity and compassion, and with an emphasis
on the needs of the medically underserved. We are dedicated to
fostering the skills necessary to generate new clinical insights
based on medically relevant research.

The graduate level Health Services Administration (HSA) program
is intended for those who wish to pursue planning and leadership
roles as health policy analysts, program planners and evaluators,
health services researchers and managers in the private sector,
government and non-profit organizations. The HSA program prepares
its students to excel in decision-making skills, critical
thinking, and small group communications.
Master of Science in Occupational Therapy

This entry level MS in Occupational Therapy is designed for
students who have a BA degree in another area of study and who
meet certain admissions criteria including the completion of
specific prerequisite undergraduate coursework. The 3 year
curriculum includes 6 months of supervised fieldwork and
research.
The program accepts a limited number of students each fall and
students are encouraged to apply early.
Doctor of Physical Therapy

This graduate entry level program is designed for students who
have completed a bachelor's degree and who have completed all
undergraduate prerequisites required by the PT department. The
108 credit hour program includes traditional college coursework,
distance learning, clinical fieldwork affiliations and required
research.
This program is competitive and accepts a limited number of
students. Early application is encouraged. The application
deadline is November 30th for entry into the following
fall cohort.
