Unlike traditional institutions, we enable adults to complete some programs of study in less time than you think. Generally, classes start every five weeks, so you can get started quickly with convenient day and evening classes to meet your needs.

Associate's - Cardiovascular Sonography
Detecting heart disease and other heart conditions is a major area of the healthcare field, and it involves a team of healthcare professionals. Cardiovascular technicians are key players on any heart healthcare team. Sanford-Brown’s cardiovascular technology program is designed to prepare you for career opportunities as a Cardiovascular Sonographer/Technician where you can be an important part of that healthcare team.
Could you be a cardiovascular technician? Learn how to check the heart for subtle differences between healthy and diseased areas; judge if the images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes; and send images to the doctor to view. You can also learn how to explain the procedure to patients, record additional medical history, select appropriate equipment settings and perform numerous other duties essential to this vital area of healthcare.
Associate's - Dental Hygiene
As the demands for dental care increase, dentists are entrusting many responsibilities for patient education and preventative care to dental hygienists. As many dentists hire dental hygienists for part-time work, a dental hygienist may have more than one employer, or part time. So the dental hygiene profession can offer you a great deal of flexibility. A dental hygienist’s duties include: cleaning and polishing teeth, instructing patients in good oral hygiene habits and care after dental treatment, and may include assisting dentists during examinations and treatments.
Sanford-Brown’s Dental Hygiene program includes supervised experiences in a clinical environment. So, if you’re attentive, caring, and would like the flexibility of working part-time or in more than one clinical setting, a career as a dental hygienist could be right for you.
Certificate - Dental Assistant
If you've ever been to the dentist, you probably know that dental assistants can work right alongside them, anticipating and reacting to their needs and those of the patient. Certificate - Diagnostic Medical Sonography
Diagnostic Medical Sonography is a medical procedure that uses ultrasound to produce visual images of organs, tissues, or blood flow inside the body. A diagnostic medical sonographer is a highly-skilled professional who uses specialized equipment to create sonograms or ultrasound scans of structures inside the human body that are used by physicians to make a medical diagnosis.
Sonography can be used to examine many parts of the body, such as the abdomen, pelvis, female reproductive system, prostate, heart, and blood vessels. The student will have the opportunity to study anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology of scanned organ systems, recognize the sonographic patterns of the organs, learn protocols for a logical and thorough survey of the organs, and provide accurate and technical findings to the interpreting physician. The Medical Billing and Coding certificate program at Sanford-Brown College , Boston is designed to prepare students for entry level careers in a variety of healthcare settings, including medical offices, hospitals, clinics and skilled-care facilities. The curriculum is structured to include didactic instruction in several areas, including, but not limited to, billing practices and systems, coding and reimbursement systems, and healthcare computer applications. The final portion of curriculum includes a supervised practicum at a medical facility. Accreditation/Certification Information Disclosure
Accreditation is a voluntary process which may be undertaken by schools to demonstrate compliance with specific standards designed to indicate a level of education quality. SBC is institutionally accredited (accredited in total) by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS), a national accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education (DOE) and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). This indicates that SBC substantially meets or exceeds the stated criteria of education quality established by ACICS, and approved by the DOE and CHEA. This recognition of institutional accreditation by ACICS entitles SBC to offer Title IV Financial Assistance to students who qualify.
An additional form of accreditation that a school may undertake to obtain is a specific, individual accreditation of certain programs (programmatic accreditation). Institutional accreditation is not the same as or a substitution for programmatic accreditation. Although programmatic accreditation is not required for employment in many cases, the existence of programmatic accreditation is a further indication that a program meets the standards of the profession, and may therefore indirectly enhance employment opportunities. Also, in some cases, programmatic accreditation will allow the graduates of the accredited program to sit for some credentialing exams immediately upon graduation without any requirement of work experience.
