Bilingual Hispanic Nursing (LPN) - Diploma
The goal of the Bilingual Hispanic Licensed Practical Nursing Program is to prepare Hispanic students to enter the healthcare field as licensed practical nurses (LPNs).
This 18-month program is designed to meet the growing need for bilingual nurses to serve the Hispanic population. It includes an ESL (English as a Second Language) curriculum focused on nursing communications. Graduates of the program will be eligible to take the NCLEX-PN licensing exam.

LPNs are vital members of the healthcare system who work under the supervision and direction of a registered nurse or physician. An LPN performs skilled client observations, administers medication and treatment, conducts basic diagnostic testing and fulfills physician orders.
The demand for entry level nursing professionals is at a record high, with a growing shortage expected to reach approximately one million vacancies by the year 2020.

The Medical Billing and Coding career field is for someone who wants to work in healthcare, but would prefer to work in more of an administrative role-instead of hands on with patients. Taking Medical Billing and Coding courses is an excellent choice because this field is expanding and is expected to offer excellent job opportunities well into the future. Individuals interested will be prepared with the necessary skills to obtain a position as a Medical Biller or Coding Specialist in a hospital, medical clinic, physician's office or insurance company.
Medical Billing and Coding Specialists are organized and assume a vital role on a medical office team. The training will teach you to effectively and efficiently maintain a patients medical record and other health and medical information. You will lean how to assign a code to each diagnosis and procedure the patient experiences. The biller will understand how to read medical invoices and coding language. Medical terminology will increase proficiency therefore emphasis on anatomy and physiology as well as privacy issues and professional standard will be incorporated in the coursework.
