Associate's in Emergency Medical Services

Emergency Medical Services (EMS) is a critical part of the healthcare team and the community in general. Upon completion of the program, students will be able to properly assess, manage, and transport patients at an Advanced life Support Level of competence. The EMS/Paramedic Program will expose students to the skills necessary to provide emergency medical care at an advanced life support level with an ambulance service, fire department, hospital and industry.

Diploma in Dental Assisting

Fortis' dental assistant program is a communication-based approach to training an essential part of the dental staff. Students receive training in both chair side procedures as well as administrative duties.

Diploma in Medical Assisting

The objective of the Medical Assisting program is to provide the graduate with the knowledge and ability to perform various administrative and clinical procedures, in a medical office, clinic or health care facility at the entry-level. The student is trained to carry out clinical procedures such as recording vital signs, conducting routine lab procedures, basic diagnostic procedures, EKGs and phlebotomy. Administratively, the student is trained in front office procedures such as greeting patients, computer operation, filing, billing, scheduling and insurance claims.

Medical Insurance Billing and Coding
