The Jacksonville campus is located off Baymeadows Rd and Philips Hwy (near the I-95). The campus is comprised of two buildings. The main building has 21,000 square-feet of classrooms, laboratories, library, staff and faculty offices, testing room, etc. Building B has 8,000 square-feet of classrooms, laboratories, restrooms and faculty offices.
In this program, you will learn basic health insurance concepts, diagnostic codes and proper procedures for completing health insurance claim forms. This education may allow you to pursue entry-level positions in health care office administration.
The Dental Assistant program teaches chairside assisting methods, patient procedures and related office and laboratory tasks usually performed under the direction and supervision of a licensed dentist. You will learn basic dental science, acquire proficiency in laboratory and clinical skills, and get valuable hands-on experience in a dental office setting.
Medical assistants are trained in both administrative and clinical procedures, and are capable of filling a variety of rewarding positions. You will be taught how to deliver high qualit patient care, take vital signs, and run laboratory and diagnostic tests. Upon graduation, you may gain employment in a clinic, doctor’s office, nursing home, medical supply business, home health care agency, insurance company or pharmaceutical company.
The Pharmacy Technician program helps develop strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills needed to interact with patients, co-workers and health care professionals. Pharmacy technicians can gain positions in both health care facilities and retail establishments including hospitals, medical centers, outpatient clinics, urgent care pharmacy centers and pharmacies.
