Histotechnicians prepare tissue specimens for examination and diagnosis by pathologists. These tissue sections enable the pathologist to diagnose body dysfunction and malignancy.

The mission of the program is to provide the medical community with entry-level radiation therapists by providing them with knowledge and technical skills, a broad-based general education and an understanding of, and compassion for, cancer patients and their families.
Radiation therapists prepare patients for radiation treatment, position patients under a linear accelerator and administer pre-prescribed doses of ionizing radiation to specific parts of the body. They may also assist in treatment planning, patient support and care and brachytherapy.
