Associate's - Pharmacy Technician

A pharmacy technician is usually a pharmacist's right-hand man. They are exceptional listeners, are always alert, very responsible and pay attention to the finest details.

As a licensed pharmacist's technician, you will help prepare prescribed medication for patients. Our training prepares you to retrieve, count, pour, weigh and measure the prescription medication. Prescriptions, which are checked by a pharmacist before being given to a patient, must then be priced and filed. You may also maintain patient profiles, prepare insurance forms, and stock and take inventory of medications.

Upon graduation, students will be qualified to work as pharmacy assistants in clinics, hospitals or retail pharmacies.

Dental Assistant - Associate's

The Associate's in Dental Assistant program prepares students to work closely with dentists and ensure that dental practices are operating with a high degree of efficiency.

The program focuses on hands-on learning that emphasizes chair-side skills, radiography, and laboratory procedures, and dental health. Program graduates can compete for entry-level positions in either clinical or administrative positions, such as patient coordinator, circulating assistant, hygiene assistant, or infection control coordinator.

Veterinary Technology - Diploma

The Veterinary Technician is a vital member of the veterinary health care team. Technicians perform a wide variety of tasks in the veterinary field. The tasks may include obtaining samples for diagnostic testing; performing diagnostic tests in a laboratory environment for use in the prevention, treatment, and diagnosis of diseases in animals; preparing vaccines and serums for the prevention of diseases; providing nursing care to patients; taking diagnostic radiographs; assisting with anesthesia; preparing instruments, supplies, and patients for surgery; and client education.

Graduates of this program are eligible for entry level positions in large and small animal veterinary practices, veterinary hospitals, humane societies, animal shelters and animal research facilities.
